Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
In this role inside Military Life Cycle Engineering, you will be part of the team who support the preparation of an Engine demonstrator that will be used to support the technology maturation for future flight fighter.
You will be involved in activities concerning MRO shop, experimental engineering, test cell, component design, data analysis to validate the proposed solution.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate several technology/design teams to assure the availability of the hardware for the engine demonstrator
- Support the experimental test engineering to prepare the test cell to accommodate the engine demonstrator
- Prepare the test spec to collect all the contribution from the design teams and relevant exit criteria
- Support Shop to assembly the modified engine
- Support experimental team in definition and application of the instrumentation
- Collect data from the test and support analysis of the results.
- Support shop in teardown and inspection of the engine and collecting of evidence
- Manage execution through program reviews, problem resolution and risk abatement
- The job requires good interpersonal skills, for customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university
- Technical Accountability/Ownership and Customer oriented attitude
- Good English and fluent Italian language knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Work Visa in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in management of aeronautical products in-service
- Experience in test cell and instrumentation
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan and execute programs
