Job Description Summary

Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supportive cooperation with responsible person on execution of the design, analysis, or design changes in area of turboprop engine controls and systems integration on the component level
  • Developing expertise in engine controls units design, controls principles and integration with other engine systems with a pro-active approach for mentoring provided by appointed senior engineer
  • Building a self-responsibility for task flow management, project plan updates and reporting
  • Collection all required background data for design across the entire organization incl. production and production engineering or external supplier data
  • Participate and build expertise on engine control systems component testing, data evaluation, technical reporting and certification
  • Build expertise in engineering processes as design change process and design practices
  • Build a knowledge of engine technical publications (as e.g. maintenance manuals) for their updates
  • Demonstrates good communication skill, technological and analytical solution for his/her work within engine control systems and externals

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college of mechanical engineering
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink regulation and controls systems is a benefit

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Pro-active approach for an expertise gain in aviation industry, particularly engine controls, accessories and engine integration
