Role Overview:

This role is responsible for engineering activities associated with the manufacturing and repair processes. The role is supporting electronics repair of customer returned avionics systems, implementation of repair strategies on new products, and equipment planning/upkeep.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering activities for aftermarket products, including process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in repair processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians in their efforts to fault isolate and repair customer avionics product.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure reparability of new products and design changes.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for manufacturing-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in electronics design, manufacturing/process engineering, testing/troubleshooting, and/or repair).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics design, manufacturing/process engineering, testing/troubleshooting, and/or repair.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and repair services
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of tools associated with electronic circuit card troubleshooting and repair

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
