To undertake the repair, test and calibration of GE Caledonian Electrical Measuring and Test Equipment.

Job Description

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Test, minor repair and calibration of Electrical Measuring and Test Equipment.

• Complete the fault finding, repair, testing and calibration process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment.

• Complete accurate records and ensure that they are filed in a timely manner.

• Maintain the required level of quality and cost effectiveness, ensuring accuracy.

• Undertake cross-training in other technical areas in line with requirements of the business.

• Comply with all Company procedures in respect of Health and Safety, Quality, and current working practices.

Other Responsibilities:

• Integrate newly purchased Measuring and Test Equipment into the Gauge Management System and if necessary, develop Calibration Method for this equipment.

• Perform review on Receipt of items calibrated at external sources in line with company procedures.

• Attend training courses as a requirement of the role as identified by the Line Manager.

• When required provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure overall customer satisfaction for calibration department.

• Take responsibility for understanding, reviewing, and adhering to all Company Quality Procedures, especially those which directly pertain to the role.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• All duties within this job description should be carried out, at all times, in line with all Company policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within operating processes and equipment in use ensuring regulatory & technical excellence.

Qualification/Experience:

• Recognized engineering apprenticeship in an electrical discipline with practical experience thereafter.

• Previous experience within an aviation environment would be advantageous.

• Previous experience or working knowledge with measurement instrumentation.

• Fully conversant with use of high-tech equipment and measuring equipment.

• Good understanding and working knowledge of computer-based applications.

• High level of quality within their completed tasks.

• Ability to work as a member of a team or on own initiative managing daily output requirements.
