The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a challenging two-year rotational path committed to grow entry level engineers within GE Aerospace. It targets high potential talent with a passion for technology development and a drive for technical excellence. It provides an opportunity to build engineering skills and GE behaviors by supporting professional development through in-depth technical training and a variety of business critical assignments.

The program will be articulated around different engineering skillset pathways, with focus on accelerating technical expertise development in the following main areas:

  • Module mechanical design (gearboxes, turbine, accessories, combustors, cost optimization, etc.)
  • Aerothermal design (heat transfer, secondary air-systems, thermal management systems, etc.)
  • Engine performance (steady state, transient, operability, etc.)
  • Controls (multivariable controls system, non-linear control systems, etc.)

Based on your background and career interests, you will be assigned to one of the above tracks, where you will have the opportunity to develop expertise through mix of rotational assignments, customized training and mentorship with cognizant subject matter experts.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Engage in various assignments within the engineering function, contributing to the activities of different teams throughout the rotations.
  • Leverage the wide variety of projects and assignments to enhance technical skills in the identified technical pathway.
  • Develop a basic understanding of key business drivers, engineering business processes, and procedures. Utilize this knowledge to effectively accomplish tasks.
  • Gain insight into how the global organization operates and interfaces with other functions and understand how the work of your team integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively within team under the guidance of an assignment leader and of a technical mentor.
  • Communicate project approaches and present outcomes effectively, with ability to summarize complex technical information clearly to different audiences.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master Degree in relevant Engineering field (including undergraduate students who plan to graduate within Sept 2025)
  • Maximum 2 years post-graduation experience
  • Demonstrated academic excellence
  • Passion for engineering with strong technical attitude and an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong commitment to a career in Engineering & Technology
  • Curiosity to explore different engineering roles and topics
  • Geographically mobility
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Czech/Slovak
  • EU Work Permit


Desired Characteristics


  • Internship Experience preferable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • International Experience could be a plus

Note:

The start date of this program will be 1st September 2025. The hiring process will follow the timeline indicated below:
