Essential Responsibilities:
As an ECT Trainee at GE Aerospace, you will be assigned to support projects across the different functions on a rotational basis. As the traineeship progresses, the you will be expected to accept greater responsibilities until you are able to assume a lead role in a specific customer engagement later in the program, to be chosen based on business priorities at the time. Your main responsibilities will be as per the below:
- Oversee shop floor projects, lean initiatives, and manage tooling, ensuring effective collaboration across departments.
- Support line, field and quick-turn maintenance by shadowing operation and production engineers.
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction into Aviation
- Introduction into Aircraft Engines Fundamentals
- Introduction into an MRO environment and Regulations (Part 145)
- Hands-on Training on LEAP HPT Blade Distress Strip and Build
- Develop skills in interpreting approved technical manuals.
- Communication skills through report writing and presentations.
- Cross-functional collaboration and teamwork
- Pre-induction support
- Level 8 Engineering Focal
- Foundational understanding of SAP (Dispositioning and router management), DRs (escalations pathways) and Workscoping (Y3).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferably in Engineering
- Recent Graduate or graduate with less than 1 year of experience and passionate about Aviation Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

- Passion for learning; ability to self-teach and enquire
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work across culture, diversity and manage conflict effectively
