The Lead Engineer's responsibility is to lead assigned sub-projects as a member of bigger team focused on new technology development and demonstrate accountability in communicating achievements vs. business goals.

In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve design and materials problems, with guidance from more experienced mentors, to execute objectives for the team. You will work together with international team of experts in multi input and multi-output engineering environment. You will have exposure to cutting edge technologies and opportunity to be a contributor in their development.

In particular, you will be responsible for the design of composite engine components and the design of components for testing of new technologies for future engine products.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product / program requirements, with guidance of project leadership and technical mentors
  • Develop action plans to respond to issues/ problems
  • Lead or participate on teams assigned to address specific mechanical design challenges
  • Work in cross functional teams supporting the assigned project
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Consult assigned tasks with technical experts to ensure the best outcome
  • Seek for improvements based on legacy engines experience
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned project and/or tasks consistent with engineering polices and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Materials
  • Industry or academical experience in design or manufacturing of components made of composite materials, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Good level of English

  • Experience in jet engine component mechanical design
  • Preliminary design and rough mechanical components sizing based on the basic engineering principles
