Role Overview:
The Data Quality Planner sets the strategy for product master data structure in alignment with new programs, process changes in the shops, and planning initiatives. This role serves as the key Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives. As the SME, the Data Quality Planner works on very complex technical challenges in the ERP system, solving issues and developing new solutions with new and innovative approaches to optimize inventory.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Elaborates proposals for important technological choices and provides guidelines for projects.
- Defines product data structure requirements to drive desired ERP behaviors.
- Investigates and guides technical teams through issues that impact the Material Resource Planning (MRP) run.
- Partners with organization initiative leaders to define and execute data changes aligned with program and FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
- Works with Information Technology (IT) teams to resolve issues related to product data.
- Fosters a culture of excellence, continuously executing and deploying process improvements and supporting strategic initiatives.
- Manages an operating rhythm that ensures quality of data across sites, including core Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), distribution of metrics, and timely remediation.
- Runs the Mass Change Council to assess the impact of change requests for bulk data change. Determines where changes have dependencies and downstream impact.
- Works effectively in a matrixed team to accomplish priorities.
- Provides leadership and direction to the Data Quality (DQ) team, ensuring processes align with strategic initiatives.
- Travel up to 20%
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in supply chain management)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management (or GE Aerospace Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience)
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.
- CPIM certification.
- Oracle ERP launch or Oracle ERP experience within a projects-based environment.
- Experience and expertise in Oracle ERP system functionality and MRP runs. Understanding of product data impacts on planning, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in data quality management within manufacturing operations supply chain management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean.
- Experience leading and influencing business process changes, with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to plan/execute programs and align stakeholder priorities among conflicting demands.
- Ability to work in complex, rapid, and ambiguous environments.
- Technical expertise related to mining and manipulation of data, including Microsoft Access and Spotfire.
- Microsoft Excel skills including formulas and Pivot tables.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
