We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Quality Engineer to join our team at our facility in Bohemia, NY. In this role, you will be the main point of contact between our site and our biggest customer in regard to maintaining and improving the quality of our products. You will interface with their quality team, manage quality issues, and ensure compliance with our contractual requirements. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary interface with the customer's quality team, addressing quality issues and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Write detailed reports and corrective actions and present them during weekly meetings with the customer.
  • Review and analyze technical data, drawings, and work instructions to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including business leaders, other quality engineers, production engineers, and engineering teams, to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis.
  • May be required to assist with quality issues in production, in addition to repair shop
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within a manufacturing environment

  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes; understanding of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and quality control

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Strong analytical skillset to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with both electrical and mechanical products.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing technical data.
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products

Pay and Benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $117,900 - 157,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on February 28th, 2025.
