Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Customer Program Leader to join an established team, who will be focused on working closely with the cross-functional team to support the planning, monitoring, reporting, and execution of program deliverables associated with OE, RMA and Aftermarket output for one of our key business jet customers. This is an exciting opportunity to build upon the solid foundation already established with this customer, as we approach a period of significant growth in terms of increased aircraft production rates. In this role, you will work to continue a "one team" approach to customer satisfaction, and will support in aligning our orderbook, forecast strategy and rate readiness activities with our customer delivery schedule.

Job Description

The Person

Building strong and trusted relationships is a key part of this role. You'll enjoy working with others, occasionally directly at the customer site.

You'll be customer focused - being able to work collaboratively with your key contacts, understanding their needs, and converting opportunities into wins.

In addition to building excellent relationships with our customer, you'll also be able to build excellent relationships within a cross-functional team.

You'll ensure that project targets are clearly shared, and progress measured as part of our monthly operating rhythm.

You'll be a self-starter, enjoying working with others or on your own initiative whilst seeking opportunities to help us maintain our excellent performance.

In addition to having strong interpersonal skills, other key requirements include:

  • Driving effective and efficient communication to the stakeholders. Building relationships both internally and externally and integrating the voice of the customer into program activities. Establishing and maintaining regular customer reporting rhythms.
  • Work effectively across the Organisational Matrix to prioritise, monitor, align and report relevant metrics - such as S&OP, production scheduling, delivery forecasting, demand management, order-book management, revenue and margin, debt collection & cash flow, quality etc.
  • Effectively escalates issues that affect programme deliverables and drive resolutions cross-functionally in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively work with the program, engineering, sourcing and supply chain to achieve OP targets via issue resolution, bottleneck identification & process improvement. Ensure all hardware deliverables (development and production) are delivered on time, in full.
  • Support and contribute to financial and operational planning activities, including but not limited to S&OP, QMI, SII etc.
  • Demonstrate clear thinking and imagination through development of solutions to meet customer and GE business needs.
  • Function as a key liaison between internal GE organisations and customers for assigned contracts.
  • Engage with the customer to secure payment in support of cash targets when required.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Applicable degree in areas such as Business Studies, Marketing or Operations Management.
  • PMI/PMP type Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
  • Appropriate level of customer service experience in a relevant industry - in absence of Aerospace industry specific experience, we would be looking for experience of work associated with a highly regulated industry (e.g. Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Pharmaceuticals etc).
  • Demonstrable ability to be able to communicate well, especially in the written form.

You may also demonstrate the below desirable requirements:

  • Experience in using ERP systems, particularly in relation to orderbook management.
  • Experience of leading and delivering projects focused on the transition of design to manufacturing, progressing manufacturing readiness levels, and/or design to cost.
