The Cost leader will connect and interface between Engineering, Shop operation and Finance facing organizations to drive productivity year over year. He/she will create and execute action plans to improve: labor productivity, optimize expenses, and reduce manufacturing losses and rework.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Focus on shop cost optimization. Support new work initiatives (GPB) by providing data, analytics, reporting to meet productivity targets
- Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, and manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding and inspections
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Leverage Lean expertise to identify non value add operations
- Create and execute action plans
- Understands manufacturing costing systems
- Proficient with EXCEL
- May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view
- Project management experience

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
- minimum of 5 years experience in industrial engineering/accounting/finance in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Demonstrate ability to create and lead action plans
- Demonstrate effective problem solving knowledge such as PSR and APPS
- Understanding of costing and accounting processes
- Knowledge of ORACLE ERP system
