Job Description Summary

The primary responsibilities of this role will be to create and implement strategic communications and change management deliverables including but not limited to slide decks, roadmaps, organizational design and brand initiatives, workforce analytics and evaluation, and more. The ideal candidate will assist in creating and implementing transition change management) strategies, plans, and communications to facilitate employee adoption and awareness of the Global Security Mission and Vison.
This candidate will represent and grow brand recognition for Global Security through team, site, internal events and networking. Additionally, the candidate will promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization by providing training, educational materials, and awareness campaigns to employees at all levels.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Content Coordination
    • Global Security website, digital media management/optimization.
    • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to ensure effectiveness of strategies.
    • Conduct research from public and proprietary sources to understand brand market dynamics, synthesizing qualitative information and quantitative data for executive-ready insights and discussions.
    • Assist with tasks to help define process changes, training, culture and staffing required to maximize the adoption of technology and business process changes to meet the requirements of GE Aerospace Security.
    • Manage brand/ swag inventory and allocation efforts
    • Maintain understanding of business and industry knowledge, internal workflows and technological capabilities.


  • Communication Strategy:
    • Assist with execution of an internal communications strategy to ensure employees are informed on organizational news, events, and objectives. Additionally, ensure timely and transparent communication across all levels of the Global Security organization.
    • Assist with establishment of greater effective channels of communication to ensure employees are well-informed about company news, updates, and opportunities for feedback.
    • Provide ongoing messaging to internal and external stakeholders on the execution of the Security Transformation Initiative.
    • Ensure quarterly strategy plan transparency and clear communication between function and project teams.


  • Events and Initiatives:
    • Organize and coordinate engaging employee events, workshops, and initiatives that promote team building, enhance camaraderie, and strengthen bonds within the Global Security organization.
    • Understand the fundamental business activities performed by company, and based on this understanding, align appropriate information/personnel/physical site security solutions that adequately protect these activities.


  • Document Management
    • Ensure that files are properly organized in a systematic manner with appropriate naming conventions, making it easier to access and retrieve information when needed.
    • Facilitate efficient collaboration between team members by implementing document sharing and collaboration platforms, promoting seamless communication and workflow.
    • Develop, document, or maintains standards, best practices, or system usage procedures.
    • Assist in the assessment, acquisition, or deployment of new electronic document management systems.
    • Prepare and record changes to official documents/policies/procedures and confirms changes with owning Global Security management staff.
    • Implement strong security measures to protect confidential documents, manage user access permissions, and monitor document usage.
    • Frequently conduct document audits confirming they are current and accurately reflect recorded evidence.


  • Training
  • Manage the development and distribution of security education and awareness training, assist with conducting special security events, support security self-inspections and audits, and investigating security incidents.
  • Assist with the implementation of company-wide security awareness and education programs that are aligned with security policy, standards, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.
  • Review practices and activities to ensure training requirements are compliant with directives and integration with other security and related programs.
  • Work closely with Security personnel, Program staff and other internal customers to ensure all Security education and training needs are met.
  • Assist with development of training courses, focus groups, and workshops to educate stakeholders on programs, policies, and applications of personnel/physical security.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4+ years' experience) in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in communications or public relations preferred
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Able to think strategically and provide creative solutions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of social media channels
  • Previous experience with large global operational training, branding and communications.
  • Ability to practice thought leadership and utilize influence without authority tactics across multiple levels of the organization to enable project success
