The second shift (2pm - 10:30pm)CMC Development Lab Production Supervisor will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals. The Operations Specialist will work collaboratively with Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations and Design, as well as cross-site collaboration with external stakeholders.

The CMC Development Lab Production Supervisor is part of our advanced Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) Development Lab in our Supply Chain division. This role applies hands-on experience to support development and production activities related to the critical CMC composite part processes from router release to final shipment. - Responsible for developing and executing a business plan that provides delivery of goals and metrics including Safety, Quality, Productivity, Output, Cycle reduction / Inventory Reduction, and Continuous Improvement / Lean Implementation Strategy for a given Product / Assembly.
- Responsible for the transition, communication, and success of shift-to-shift operations. Ensure continuous flow of hardware and preparation for following shift.
- • Coordinate with supporting and supported organizations for product support elements including Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Supply Support, Support Equipment, Technical Data, Training, Computer Resources, Facilities, Packaging / Handling / Storage / Transportation, and Design Interface.
- • Promote customer satisfaction, develop positive customer relationships, and focus on Team Development
- Drive Lean culture and excellence via GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
- • Direct process / product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization.
- Propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Leverage multiple internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing/production experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of production/manufacturing experience
