Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Hardware Ownership:
- Serve as the hardware owner for CMC combustor components on the RISE Program, progressing designs through NTI (New Technology Introduction) design phases.
- Own and manage Technology Readiness Level (TRL) test programs associated with your specific components.

Project Management:
- Manage and report on the status of tasks and schedules related to your components.
- Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
Technical Expertise:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of CMC design and analysis. Leverage prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute priorities.
- Utilize a high level of personal judgment to propose innovative solutions within and outside set parameters, with appropriate guidance.
- Solve complex tasks using technical skills and analytical thinking.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Communicate effectively across functions to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in a mechanical design role.
Desired Characteristics:
- Familiarity with Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) or composites in general.
- Experience with technology introduction and conducting trade studies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Proven interpersonal skills to mentor and guide team members.
