Job Description Summary

CFAN is a 50/50 joint venture with GE and Safran. This role will be a GE employee and is considered the General Manager of the joint venture. The CFAN Plant Leader will be responsible for leading plant manufacturing operations with 500 employees. In addition to plant responsibilities this role also has general business responsibilities for the P&L and will be responsible for communicating and aligning across the GE and Safran Board members.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be accountable for planning and directing all aspects of the organization's manufacturing, supply chain strategies and business, objectives, initiatives and policy. In addition, this site sits within a broader Composites organization and the CFAN Plant Leader will collaborate with other functional (engineering, quality, lean, procurement) and site leaders to deliver on the broader strategy for GE Aerospace and Safran.

• Drive operations team towards execution of Business Goals using Lean Manufacturing methodology
• Monitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant manner
• Establish and direct plant policies and procedures
• Meet plant production and quality goals
• Have a strong focus on employee relations
• Foster well-trained and motivated staff
• Establish all production schedules and meet customer's delivery and quality expectations
• Select, train and develop plant supervisory and administrative staff
• Provide leadership for executing New Product Introductions (NPIs)
• Ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments
• Be responsible for driving continuous improvements in factory yield
• Drive Product Quality and Lean to ensure that internal business metrics are met
• Develop & create training plans to maximize workforce capability
• Continually improve metrics
• Conduct employee performance reviews
• Schedule and conduct plant meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees
• Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, inventory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, and fulfillment metrics, quality systems, cost systems, and fulfillment metrics, and procedures
• Demonstrated capability in employee relations
• Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
• Demonstrated leadership, energizing teams and project management
• Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high morale, employee involvement, safety and teamwork in non-union environment
• Lean trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, global, unique and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Proven ability to prioritize, plan and execute important business and supply chain initiatives
• Proven leadership skills (experience successfully managing people / projects / issues)
• Demonstrated ability able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership

• Clear, strategic, and critical thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
• MBA or Master's Degree in Manufacturing / Business / Engineering from an accredited university or college
