Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Capacity/Readiness Leader to focus on optimizing production capacity and readiness within our composites manufacturing part family, including Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) products. This role is critical in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, resources are utilized optimally, and production delays are minimized. The Capacity/Readiness Leader will play a pivotal role in aligning production capabilities with customer demands and strategic business goals.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess and Plan for Production Capacity Requirements: Analyze current and future production needs for PMC and CMC products to ensure that capacity aligns with demand.
- Ensure Resources are Available and Ready: Coordinate with various teams to ensure that all necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, are available and prepared for efficient manufacturing.
- Collaborate to Streamline Processes: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, enhancing overall production efficiency.
- Monitor and Report on Capacity Metrics: Track key performance indicators related to capacity and readiness, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Manage Capacity Models: Develop and maintain capacity models for the composites part family, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer demands.
- Visual Management: Create and maintain daily visual metrics to monitor production activities and capacity utilization.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that capacity planning and readiness initiatives align with the broader organizational strategy and business goals for PMC and CMC products.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing or production planning experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, capacity management, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
