Job Description Summary

The Production Test (PETO) Business Leader will provide operational guidance and demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives for multiple AEO product lines and other programs. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide total business unit / group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, delivery, and cost/cash
  • • Utilize Lean to direct process & product improvement programs and provide process excellence throughout the organization
  • • Lead business unit / group to achieve goals in process and manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction
  • • Ensure communication of key business and customer issues to employees
  • • Be responsible for meeting all established safety, quality, cost, and delivery commitments
  • • Ensure assigned employees are aware and comply with all GE government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • • Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance product & process producibility and delivered quality requirements
  • • Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel
  • • Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time
  • • Develop necessary business plans to enhance all program requirements; including throughput, labor hours, cycle, cost producibility
  • • Structure assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives
  • Provide ongoing leadership and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training
  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college + Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
