Job Description Summary

Safety leader shall be experienced in systems engineering, a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs.

He/She shall be experienced in execution a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the theory, design, development and practical implementation of product safety engineering methodologies and techniques for equipment and devices.
  • Execute a process to identify and mitigate safety risks inherent to the product design to an acceptable level; conduct rigorous safety risk assessments, hazard evaluations, utilize human factors principles to drive design improvements in order to eliminate human error in the operation and maintenance of the product in the field
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Support accident investigation and ensure that all protocols are in place and followed.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited University; master's preferred
  • Experience in Engineering&Technology function and/or Product Safety
  • Fluencly in English
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management techniques
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Part 21)
  • Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Ability to speak Czech is an advantage.
