Recommends improvements and additions to existing standard work to streamline processes and build resilience.

Role Overview: As a Crisis Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and assessing risk events across various areas including product, security, infrastructure, reputational risk, and cyber. This position is on-site and involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure effective response, communication, and collaboration during incidents. Your work will be integral to our mission of advancing aerospace technology and maintaining our high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess risk events to the business across the broad risk areas of product, security, infrastructure, reputational risk, and cyber.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure effective response, communication, and collaboration during incidents.
- Make quick decisions in high-stakes environments, prioritizing tasks and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Adhere to internal crisis management plans, standards, and regulations during emergencies.
- Implement GE Aerospace response and global security operations processes.
- Assist in managing crisis triage efforts, phone lines, security tools, case management systems, emergency notification systems, and security distribution lists.
- Maintain transparency and humility in all professional interactions.
- Juggle multiple projects and activities, making trade-offs to focus on critical tasks.
- Provide real-time support and guidance to GE Aerospace travelers, addressing any safety or security concerns that may arise during their journeys.
- Conduct training sessions for ARC personnel, including analysts and other watch officers.
- Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, leveraging technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
- Complete special assignments and other duties/tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a challenging, high-stress environment.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is highly analytical, decisive, and capable of working effectively under pressure. They should be passionate about global security and risk management, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Security Management, Risk Management, International Relations, Political Science) from an accredited university or college.
- Strong understanding of global security issues and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.
- Incumbent will work 10-hour shifts in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call availability.
- Incumbent must be a United States citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multilingual capabilities.
- Proven experience in incident and crisis management in a Global Security Operations Center.
- Experience in the use of the Ontic and Everbridge software platforms.
