Job Description Summary

The Advanced Test Lead Engineer demonstrates accountability for GE engine test technical program management.
In this role you will drive assembly and test readiness by interfacing with engineering to define requirements.
You will work with assembly and instrumentation team to define hardware need dates and identify critical path activities.
You will work with the test team to define test execution needs given specific test requirements.

Job Description

Essential Requirements

  • Own the overall schedule of assembly, instrumentation and test for a given engine test vehicle, work with supply chain and engineering counterparts to resolve problems during all phases of the engine test process.
  • Ensure compliance to the GE Aviation Engineering Handbook to drive flawless assembly and test execution; drive engine tollgate reviews to ensure requirements are in place and risks to program are understood.
  • Coordinate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood.
  • Communicate with leadership on status of test vehicle(s), escalating issues where needed.
  • Engage broad engineering team to resolve issues as needed.
  • Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of some years of experience in Engineering).
  • Minimum experience 4 years.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with design engineering and/or project management.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills (Czech optional).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skill.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to develop strategies and execute plans with a sense of urgency.
