As an Advanced Lead Testing Engineer, you will engage in activities that contribute to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. This includes efforts aimed at the technical enhancement of existing products and components. You will be responsible for planning and executing departmental operations or focusing on the execution of professional activities within your technical discipline. While you will operate with a degree of autonomy, your work will be guided by established policies and subject to review based on the final outcomes. You will have the flexibility to modify procedures and practices as needed, provided that the end results meet the standards of acceptability in terms of quality, volume, and timeliness.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services. Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects to support the team and organization as needed. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Authors test reports, procedures, and other documentation as required to meet the needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of engineering experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and improvement, staying updated with industry trends and advancements.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
