The role of Advanced Lead Engineer - CFM Customer Technology Program Contract Leader reports to the CFM Customer Technical Programs (CTP) Leader under Services Technology Engineering. The STCL (Services Technology Contract Leader) provides Customized Service Agreement and Time and Material customer focused technical leadership of engine repair specification definition, workscoping of the engines and meeting the shop visit objectives. This role also targets all activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters. The STCL impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. It is a global role.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Advanced Lead Engineer - CFM Customer Technology Program Contract Leader you will interface with organizations such as Engineering, Services, Digital Services Solutions (DSS), CSA Operations and Customer & Product Support Organization (C&PSO) based on business need.

  • Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, fleet configuration
  • Partner with PSE (Product Support Enginereing), CPM's (Contract Performance Management) and CTP (Customer Technology Program) team to identify and update Customer Repair Specifications and TOW (Time on wing) optimization opportunities for assigned contracts
  • Understand and execute workscope strategy for customer, define the best possible workscope for the engine meeting workscope planning guide and customer repair spec objectives.
  • Review Customer's requirements and recommend engine workscope to maximize/Optimize engine Time on Wing
  • Identifying and executing productivity projects
  • Initiating and executing actions that reduce shop visits TAT
  • Partner with C&PSO and Services Technology team to implement on/near-wing technology for respective customer accounts to improve engine on-wing life
  • Lead business initiatives for field issues and cost of ownership goals. Participate/lead initiatives related to reducing cost per shop visit.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of current industry trends
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in Technical Reviews with customer
  • Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
  • Solid experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering position
  • Good level English

Desired Characteristics:

  • MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) shop or airline shop experience
  • Previous experience in aviation engines / systems / aircraft / repair or turbo machinery
  • Experience in reliability analysis, data analytics, Fleet Modeling, etc.
  • Experience in engine troubleshooting and root cause investigations
  • Project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement projects
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
