About the Role
In this role, you are responsible to support quality initiatives at the factory level through process monitoring, capability evaluations, performance reporting, benchmarking best practices and training of GIS and factory staff (Vendor Key Representative, Factory Key Representative and Designated auditor) for the assigned region/country. You will work with a clear objective of improving overall product quality as measured through final inspections, DC audits and In-market reports.
What You'll Do
- Provide vendors/factories with the knowledge and resources to support multiple Brands/Categories in product development, risk management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Corrective Action Plan (CAP) activities
- Support vendors/factories to maximize quality by applying consistent quality standards and overseeing bulk production
- Confirm and monitor progress of 'high risk' products at factory
- Oversee preparation and implementation of RCA/CAP activity at the factory
- Leverage, authorize and monitor 3rd party inspections to improve quality performance at factories
- Develop communication skills to exchange complex information
- Manage projects and program execution within area of specialty and ensures quality of work
- Experience in quality assurance and/or factories preferably in a buying office with strong knowledge of factory operations and process; Formal qualifications in Textile / Garment / Footwear would be preferable
- Apply fully functional professional knowledge in manufacturing processes within the apparel on-apparel industry and specific knowledge for the respective category, Strong technical product skills
- Proven ability in communicating effectively and making recommendations cross functionally in a matrix environment while effectively managing multiple challenges
- Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner
- Anticipate operational/program issues and develops preventative measures
