About the Role
In this role, you will design highly scalable and high performing technology solutions in an Agile work environment by developing creative, innovative and sustainable solutions using Agile practices. You will collaborate closely with business support teams, product managers, security and architecture to promote new concepts, principles, and methodologies resolving critical production issues to help simplify and improve business processes through the latest in technology and automation. You are a technical expert and will lead through the requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and support phases of a product. You will leverage your significant knowledge of our technologies and architecture to influence the direction of the product and organization.
This role can sit in any of our hub locations: San Francisco, Pleasanton, New York or Dallas.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development ofprivate cloud infrastructuresolutions to improve scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Develop a long-term strategy for data center exit with on-premise infrastructure in points of present locations
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with business objectives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Architect virtualized compute solutions leveraging technologies likeKVM, Nutanix, or OpenStack.
- Optimize private cloud compute resources for reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Integrate high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies into compute designs.
- Architect private cloud storage solutions, includingsoftware-defined storage (SDS), to optimize performance and redundancy.
- Design scalable backup, recovery, and data protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise storage policies and disaster recovery requirements.
- Manage consolidation of database solutions migrating to opensource technologies
- LeverageIaC tools(Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet) to automate private cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Promoteself-service capabilitiesfor infrastructure resources through automation and orchestration.
- Drive infrastructure lifecycle automation for monitoring, scaling, and patching.
- Implement additional advanced monitoring and observability tools to gain insights into private cloud infrastructure performance.
- Collaborate to develop frameworks for predictive monitoring, log analysis, and capacity planning.
- Software Development and architectural leader with extensive understanding of external competition and technological trends in big retail infrastructure architecture
- Act as an expert on solving complex technical problems at senior levels, leveraging experience with related technology stack and platforms.
- Subject matter expert in architecting the transformation of legacy infrastructure into scalable modern platforms
- Strategic ability to present and align architectural vision internally and externally at senior levels.
- Influential and seasoned leader able to navigate complex situations to consensus and align architectural vision at senior levels both internally and externally.
- Experience with translating organizational goals and product vision to achieve business success.
- Strategic partner and thought leader with experience in influencing all levels and achieving alignment.
- Thought leader within Software Delivery Lifecycle, Security Compliance and Agile and SCRUM methodology and emerging technology stack and platforms.
- Strategic problem solver that is able to lead senior level teams developing creative solutions.
- Expert knowledge of complex software languages and platforms such as Java, Oracle, Azure etc. and emerging languages.
- Programming Languages and Frameworks: JavaScript, Node.js, React, AngularJS, and Java
- DevOps and Containerization: Kubernetes
- Cloud Services and Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Google Cloud

Salary Range: $201,700 - $267,300 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
