About the Role

The objective of the Old Navy Manager of Inseason Pricing Enablement is to plan and operate the inseason pricing process for Merchandise Planning business function including Promo Review and Midweek Business Review.

What You'll Do
  • Own the meeting agenda for the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings. This includes identifying the discussion points, the business context, and sending a pre-read of clear objectives and outcomes based on those discussion points and context.
  • Own the reporting creation for the Promo Review (PEM Pal) and Midweek Business Review (Inseason Glidepath, Pricing Tracker) that support the inseason meetings. This includes connecting with the Reporting team (PEM Pal) and Pricing Analytics team (Inseason Glidepath, Pricing Tracker) to troubleshoot reporting issues and drive enhancements as needed.
  • Facilitate the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings, guiding the teams in the meeting to complete the objective and achieve the outcomes.
  • Influence Director, Sr. Director, and VP level leaders on the Merchandise Planning team to make decisions that will result in achieving our brand-level gross margin targets.
  • Negotiate next steps and align with Director and Sr. Director leaders from the cross-functional team on the necessary actions their teams need to take to drive brand-level business outcomes.
  • Recap the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings to the attendees and MPLT, clearly sharing the discussion points, decisions made, and next steps.
  • Coordinate next steps from the meetings with owners of the actions and follow through with action owners to ensure completion.
  • Manage the intake process for inseason analytics requested by the cross-functional team and share with Pricing Operations team leadership so that requests can be prioritized.
  • Utilizes various top-down and bottoms-up forecasts and results reporting to drive meeting outcomes.
  • Attends MF meeting to understand business context and how risk scenarios may evolve throughout the weeks.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience (with undergraduate degree) or 3 years of demonstrable experience (with graduate degree) in merchandise planning roles either directly with a business or in a consulting capacity. Experience in apparel retail or CPG environments is mandatory.
  • Hunger to learn, speak with candor, listen for understanding, and receive feedback with humility.
  • Must be able communicate data-driven recommendations through compelling storytelling, leading cross-functional teams to optimal decisions. This includes anticipating cross-functional partners' needs, incorporates their input, and negotiates toward aligned action.
  • Ability to follow through with what you say you will do. Bias for action is critical, and waiting to be told what to do will not result in success in this role.
  • Motivated and able to learn new concepts and skills, and apply them to achieve business outcomes.
  • Able to manipulate data sets to interpret patterns and learnings.
  • Ability to run processes from start to finish with minimal oversight.
  • Have a strong understanding of retail math and yield management principles.
  • Able to use tools efficiently and effectively and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Anticipate risks and can communicate the risks in a way that others can understand.
  • BA/BS degree required. Preferred emphasis on supply chain, business, mathematics, industrial engineering, computer science, or economics.

Salary Range: $112,100 - $148,500 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
