The General Manager is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Gap Specialty Kids & Baby business and P&L. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can shape the vision and strategy for our Kids and Baby business while executing merchandising, inventory management, and product development strategies that drive revenue and cultural relevance. The GM will lead and develop a high performing product team and work closely with cross-functional leaders in Marketing, E-Commerce, and Stores to bring the collections and storytelling to life. Success lies in staying at the forefront of market trends, understanding what resonates with our customers, and delivering products that grow market share and fuel innovation. This is a leader who influences beyond traditional boundaries, connecting vision to execution with a clear focus on impact and growth.
What You'll Do
  • Ownership and accountability for Gap Specialty Kids & Baby financial performance and P&L.
  • Leverages customer, trend, and market insights to maximize Kids & Baby business and share growth.
  • evelops and seamlessly integrates merchandise strategies tied to customer & market share opportunities, resulting in increased earnings.
  • Lead product development initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and customer needs.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Work in close partnership with cross-functional Design, Marketing, Store and E-Commerce partners to ensure ideas and proposed tactics (creative concepts, media plans, channel execution) are on-brand and aligned with set seasonal and annual strategies and consistent across all customer touchpoints.
  • Motivate, coach, and inspire the team to drive for results. Act as a positive and solution-oriented leader and role model. Create and maintain a learning environment where the development of employees is a priority.
  • Build strong and effective working relationships with key cross-functional leaders.
Who You Are
  • Extensive merchandising experience at a senior leadership level with demonstrated experience leading high performing teams.
  • Proven successful track record collaborating and leading in a highly creative and entrepreneurial fashionetail business
  • Proven track record of leading business strategies and driving P&L results
  • Global Merchandising - experience in driving omni global merchandising strategies.
  • Strategic and Analytic Thinker - thinks strategically, conceptually, and creatively; has performed in global business analysis to drive and deliver results.
  • Vertical Retail - has demonstrated ability leading in vertical retail environment.
  • Organization Agility-has navigated large, global, complex organizations, proven track record of driving results.
  • Team Leadership-has successfully led cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Inventory Management.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, presentation, influencing, and collaboration with a senior leadership team.
  • Change Leadership-experience leading through significant change and transformation to move an organization forward.
  • Collaboration-proven ability influencing at all levels and making decisions cross-functionally in a matrix environment where speed is crucial.

Salary Range: $255,300 - $351,100 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
