About the Role

Our 10-week Gap Inc. Summer Internship Program offers meaningful work experiences across various business areas, allowing you to deepen your functional knowledge and immerse yourself in the fast-paced retail industry. You'll work on projects that directly impact our bottom line and present your work to senior management, while also participating in company events like executive speaker series and off-site activities. Upon completion of the internship, successful interns will be well-positioned for full time roles after they graduate.

Our Finance GBS Internwillsupport the overall Finance function for a large, multi-brand retailer in a fast-paced, complex environment. Gap Inc.'s Finance team provides support to various business units and the Executive Leadership teams. You will assist in preparing business review presentations highlighting financial and operational performance to present to senior leaders. You will also work closely with other finance team members and partners to support, analyze and pilot various initiatives. Through this experience you will gain the skills necessarytoeffectively influence business and investment decisions.

Salary Range: $27.00 - $29.00 Per Hour

What You'll Do

  • Support Global Business Services and Finance and Accounting team in analyzing current business trends to help leadership make decisions to support earnings growth
  • Provide financial support and analysis to key internal groups such as Corporate Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis and Revenue/Payables.
  • Build out and refine tools to ensure more efficient processes - making the business more agile and responsive
  • Identify risks and opportunities in business strategy
  • Recap and Review business financial performance weekly/monthly
  • Assist team to identify and research variances to forecast, budget and prior year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work cross functionally with finance team and other business partners to understand business priorities and landscape.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in progress. Concentration in finance, accounting, economics preferred
  • Must be in your Junior academic year graduating in December 2025 and Spring 2026
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday from mid-June to mid-August
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn technical applications, terminology, and processes quickly
  • Understanding of financial statements including balance sheets and general ledgers, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and the financial close process
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities to identify patterns, build strategy & drive results
  • Attention to detail and an ability to work with raw data to understand customer priorities
  • Ability to streamline processes & look for unique solutions to complex problems
  • Self-starter attitude with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong intellectual curiosity & seeks out new ways of learning
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Passion to work in the retail industry
