We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead our Corporate Subscription Program. This leadership role requires a visionary who will set strategic direction, drive sales growth, and build long-term partnerships with corporate clients. As Sales Director, you will not only execute and optimize sales strategies but also inspire and develop your team to meet ambitious targets. You'll act as a thought leader, innovating in the corporate subscription space to help Gannett become the go-to news provider for businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and execute a long-term, scalable sales strategy to meet and exceed sales targets. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on market trends and customer needs that shape the program's vision.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of high-performing sales professionals, driving their development through coaching and performance management. Lead by example in creating an innovative sales culture that encourages data-driven decision-making and strategic risk-taking.
  • Foster a results-driven, collaborative environment focused on achieving team and individual sales targets. Regularly track, analyze, and report on sales performance and market penetration to senior leadership. Utilize sales analytics to adjust strategies and implement corrective actions to meet performance goals.
  • Establish strong relationships with corporate clients, ensuring that they are engaged with and see ongoing value in our offerings.
  • Partner with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure an integrated approach to client success and satisfaction. Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve client experience and drive long-term retention.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive threats. Champion new business development initiatives that enhance the Corporate Subscription Program, including introducing new products and services that align with evolving client needs.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the media subscription, with a minimum of 6 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of setting strategic direction and executing high-level sales strategies in a fast-moving environment. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and build leadership within the teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior executives and influence decision-making. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Deep understanding of corporate clients' needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and value.

Education: bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $90,000 and $140,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to,
the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable
