USA TODAY's Money & Consumer team is looking for a personal finance reporter who can write from the lens of and for young Americans about their relationship with money to help build healthy habits around earning, spending, saving and investing money, allowing USA TODAY to be part of their journey toward building their own generational wealth. The reporting will utilize a variety of storytelling forms -- including social platforms, video, on-the-news articles, quick-turn features, explainers and live story formats.
The reporter will be responsible for staying abreast of the shifting attitudes and behaviors toward money, and for getting ahead of the competition. We are looking for a journalist willing to experiment with new storytelling forms and to tell stories that reflect America's diversity of experiences with and perspectives about money. Responsibilities also include writing about seasonal personal finance topics such as taxes, college aid or end-of-year financial planning.
