Environment and natural resources reporter

Indianapolis, IN

IndyStar, a Pulitzer Prize winning member of the USA Today Network, is looking for a creative and motivated reporter to join our two-member environment team, covering topics ranging from public policy to agriculture and business to outdoor recreation. This is an opportunity for the right person to become the go-to source for environmental coverage in Indiana.

The ideal candidate will be able to generate story ideas and have an engaging, approachable voice along with prior experience reporting on environmental topics and issues. Video skills and alternative storytelling are a major focus for our entire staff, so digital and social media experience is a plus.

Environmental coverage in Indiana is limited, making this job a buffet line for a hungry journalist willing to get out in the field to tell the big stories and the intimate human tales of Hoosiers and their interactions with the environment.
