The Digital Strategic Planner is a seasoned marketer deeply committed to consulting with clients, pulling & reviewing data analytics, and developing strategy. This multifaceted professional combines deep expertise in digital marketing with the precision of a controller. With 5-10 years of digital marketing and/or media planning expertise, they excel at quickly identifying opportunities within an account and pain points with at-risk clients and develop new strategies to address those needs. They will be responsible for communicating and maintaining oversight of strategic execution at every checkpoint, acting as a controller for both internal teams and client communications.

This individual combines an in-depth knowledge of market/competitive dynamics, client business objectives, and online strategies to deliver compelling recommendations to drive client growth opportunities and account success. Utilizing strong analytic skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, they craft cohesive digital strategies, leveraging predictive analytics to set performance expectations and timelines. They collaborate well with Sales and Client Success Managers to communicate with clients' data-driven narratives, execute strategies, and ensure impactful results. They will be the controller of the messaging to both CSM/CM, sales team, and customer. The Digital Strategic Planner will be key in positioning LocaliQ as a leader in delivering relevant and innovative work for our clients.

Position Responsibilities:

Communication Leadership: Own and control the messaging and communication strategy across the Client Success Manager (CSM), post-sales teams, sales teams, and directly with clients. They will ensure strategic plans are communicated clearly, consistently, and effectively to all stakeholders throughout the strategy development and execution process.

Strategic Design and Execution: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive digital strategies that align with client objectives and market dynamics. Act as the primary controller for these strategies, overseeing every stage from inception to execution, ensuring that each checkpoint is met according to plan.

Account Strategic Lead: Oversee and manage specific accounts during key account milestones to ensure that strategies are communicated clearly and executed efficiently. Responsible for ensuring a consistency in messaging and strategy across the account, media plan execution, and data story-telling.

Report Architect: Play a key role in crafting high-quality and consistent report deliverables that align with strategic goals and meet client expectations. Working with CSM and Data Analytics teams, they will ensure regular reports are created and shared with stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights into performance against objectives.

Data-Driven Insights: Utilize strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights. They will analyze large data sets to provide prescriptive analysis and develop testing plans to drive positive outcomes for top-tier clients. They control the process of data analysis to provide insightful recommendations and develop testing plans that drive positive outcomes for top-tier clients.

Advanced Data Management: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization techniques. They will create impactful data stories and reports using various reporting tools and dashboards while ensuring data accuracy and confirming insights are in alignment with client goals.

Media Planning and Budget Allocation: Leverage data to inform media planning and budget decisions, aiming to achieve client goals and drive revenue growth.

Innovative Mindset: Instill an innovation-driven approach to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities for clients. They will continuously seek ways to deliver increasingly relevant and creative solutions.

Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Exhibit strong time management skills, efficiently juggling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the sales and client success teams to communicate data-driven narratives and execute strategies effectively.

Risk Management: Identify and control potential risks within digital strategies and execution processes.
Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate identified risks and ensure strategic goals are met without disruption.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Maintain a positive attitude, and be a team player who can work independently. Stay curious, communicative, and apply critical thinking to drive continuous improvement.

  • Performance Measurement: Utilize analytics tools and techniques to predict, measure, and improve campaign performance, tracking progress against set goals.
  • Collaboration and Hypothesis Testing: Partner with media teams and clients to turn data-based insights into testable hypotheses, curating action plans to enhance business and campaign performance.
  • Innovation Champion: Position LocaliQ as a leader in delivering innovative and relevant work for clients.
  • Perform additional duties, as required, contributing to the overall success and growth of the team and organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in digital marketing, analytics, or related roles
  • 3+ years in media planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication Science, or equivalent work experience.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $68,000 and $120,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
