Brand Performance Manager - National Brands

The Brand Performance Manager, National Brands provides strategic direction to deliver the most effective and advanced digital marketing plan while leading a team of CSMs to execute the plan. You'll be expected to function at a highly efficient level and work with a team of Client Success Managers on major brands to deliver success. In this influential role, you'll be accountable for all day-to-day campaign performance on Paid Search, Programmatic Digital, Social, and other various digital platforms, and be the main point of contact for a large brand(s).

About Your Responsibilities:
The Brand Performance Manager, National Brands will work closely with sales leadership to advise our clients on how best to leverage current and emerging marketing solutions to meet their business needs, deliver exceptional ROI through fine tuning digital marketing campaign performance, prepare and present strategies for the overall success of their client's brand in the digital space, and assist in the retention of client revenue.

This role will possess strong expertise in existing and emerging business marketing solutions that benefit large brands. Additionally, the Brand Performance Manager will lead and collaborate with Client Success Managers (CSMs) and Sales Consultants to identify opportunities and effectively deliver on marketing solutions to best suit our client's business needs & maximize their return on investment (advertising expenses). Strong proficiency in customer relationship management, online search and display advertising techniques and Gannett & ReachLocal proprietary technologies are required. This role will facilitate client advertising performance discussions, develop and present client strategy plans, manage day to day campaign performance, assess digital campaign trends, and identify creative new advertising techniques to further our client's digital marketing needs.

This role may require travel to client meetings across the United States.

Your Impact:

  • Lead the CSM team workflow and oversight of search recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting and performance. You will provide stewardship, advising on all Paid Search matters falling within the scope of our engagement.
  • You'll develop positive relationships with search community, vendors and Directors for optimal service levels and results
  • You will study and understand the client's product, marketing objectives and digital goals with an emphasis on paid search, ensuring your recommendations are insightful and consistent.
  • Interface and present to senior clients on regular basis
  • Develop and write up standard methodologies for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Assist in staff planning, resource allocation, interviewing/hiring, and team evaluation
  • Maintain and encourage an open environment for the media partners to approach [m]Platform teams first with opportunities and innovations
  • Keep senior management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business

Your Qualifications:

  • You will showcase a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant Paid Search experience or related media planning experience, with focus on client strategy and campaign management.
  • Naturally, you'll have an In-depth knowledge and understanding of search engines
  • Significant client-facing and relationship management experience
  • Prior experience managing a team demonstrating a proven track record in training and growing junior team members

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $43,000and $81,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
