The Associate Manager Press is responsible for day to day management of all Pressroom functions to support efficient execution of production operations to achieve and maintain on-time production, product quality standards, low waste, and operational safety.
Expectations:
Responsible for the day to day management of the press and platemaking (CTP) operations to achieve on-time performance including product quality standards, waste goals and operational safety including OSHA & EPA compliance.
Pressroom Responsibilities:
• Responsible for production shift scheduling and time card approvals.

• Responsible for planning and directing efficient press runs that will ensure all production deadlines are met.
• Responsible for managing a staff including hiring, scheduling, training, performance, development and handling employee related issues.
- Responsible for maintaining the day to day operations of the pressroom to ensure quality reproduction and minimum waste through planning and practical implementation of processes.
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment maintenance and repairs are maintained and daily departmental follow-up updates are performed.
• Responsible to perform hands on Press Operator duties as needed due to staff shortage, machine problems and various unexpected workflow issues.
- Responsible for daily reporting of press and pre-press operations as well as accountable for daily data entry into web portal.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate/Bachelor operations or business management degree preferred.
Experience Required or Preferred:
Extensive press/production leadership experience. Minimum of five years of press manager/supervisor experience operation similar equipement.
Specialized Knowledge:
Lean production/Worksmart fundamentals.
Universal Skills:
English fluency, speaking and writing, proficient verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management skills, financial acumen, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
Technical Skills:
PC skills, Microsoft Office, EMAIL, Excel and Word.
Basic understanding of computer networking and electronics.
