National Account Executive - Digital Marketing and Advertising

Work Environment: Remote Sales Role based in Los Angeles or Pacific Northwest. Some Travel. Outside Sales

We are currently hiring for a Strategic Account Executive in our National Division. This is an opportunity to be part of The USA TODAY national sales team that drives new and incremental dollars from heavy growth categories such as Tech, CPG, Travel, Pharma, and other verticals. We're looking for great people who are passionate about redefining premium publishing through innovation, creative thinking and embracing fun. USA Today Network National Sales team is seeking a highly motivated seller who'll work with brand marketers and agencies on content, media and full-funnel marketing programs. In this role you will work from your home office and work the Los Angeles and Pacific Northwest region. Must be located in this region for consideration.

What You'll Do

  • Drive digital advertising sales, while meeting and exceeding all sales goals
  • Focus on identified client direct and named agencies driving performance media solutions
  • Work as a partner to help clients reach their goals and initiatives
  • Manage, renew and up-sell existing clients, ensure client's KPIs are achieved
  • Partner with Client Solutions & Account Management to prepare proposals and ensure that client's KPIs/needs are met
  • Stay current on online advertising trends and innovations
  • Participate and represent USATN at local industry events

Practical stuff we anticipate you having:

  • Knowledge of the digital marketing landscape and key players
  • 7+ years experience working with national advertising agencies and brand marketers
  • Digital sales experience 5+ years
  • Able to communicate at an executive level
  • Have upsold or sold digital campaigns
  • Sales Force usage is required
  • Thorough understanding of where to locate client-based information/research
  • Effective organization, time management and writing and presentation skills.
  • The confidence and willingness to make cold calls and book meetings.
  • A results-oriented team player.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

The annualized base salary for this role will range midpoint between $88,000 and $145,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
