This role focuses on development and implementation of an efficient and effective internal control framework, incumbent(s) actively participate in creation and updating of divisional control policies and procedures.
How you'll make an impact
- Supporting completion of financial risk and operational control assessments; analyzing financial and operational processes to identify risks and control weaknesses; Interpreting financial policies; Assisting with design and implementation of appropriate controls to strengthen the control environment and mitigate risk; and Documenting and updating processes through collaboration with process owners
- Identifies root cause of financial reporting or operational control errors and assists with developing remediation plans
- Supports the promotion and education of the importance of internal controls with cross functional partners

About You
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance) and 5 years related experience required
- Solid understanding of internal controls
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Intermediate desktop skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with process flows and process narrative documentation
- Ability to compile and analyze complex data.
Preferred:
- SOX compliance, SOC reporting, Enterprise Risk Management, and COSO Framework experience desired
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) a plus
- Experience with fraud controls and fraud risk assessments
- Experience in the Insurance Industry and/or with Third Party Service Administrators.

- Proven ability to facilitate discussions with Division Leaders and bring closure to control issues
