ABOUT THE ROLE
Working with our Operations Leader, this role will be responsible for ensuring we provide high-quality care in the field to patients unable to access care by traditional means - in our patient's homes as well as in our mobile clinic. You will own the driving and coordination of our mobile medical clinic (a converted Sprinter van). Additionally, you'll support our providers as eyes, ears, and hands in the field.
Here's what you'll do:
- Drive and operate our mobile clinic, keep the vehicle fueled, arrange and manage needed repairs and maintenance, and keep mileage and repair records up-to-date.
- Coordinate our mobile clinic -help to coordinate and schedule clinic days within the community and ensure the clinic is stocked and maintained for effective care and an amazing patient experience.
- Support care team members' travel to patient homes and accompany them for in-home or mobile clinic care delivery.
- Serve as a Galileo ambassador in the field, representing our care model well and engaging with patients, family members, and the broader community.
ABOUT YOU
A successful Mobile Unit Driver should embody an ownership mindset; being both organized and focused on the many details necessary for smooth operations, while also a creative problem solver with an eye towards always making things better. You have a warm service mentality and optimistic attitude, eager to provide support internally to the rest of the care team as well as externally to patients and your community.
This role covers a wide geographic territory, spanning Buffalo, New York and surrounding areas. While visit volume may sometimes be low, this role does include considerable travel, sometimes driving longer distances to provide care to vulnerable populations in more remote locations. This is not a remote role and requires in person travel, interaction, and support of our clinical teams and patient populations.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:
- Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and experience operating large vehicles (such as buses, shuttles, trailers, ambulances, etc.)
- Exceptional organization and time management; strong sense of ownership ensuring last-mile execution
- Comfort and experience interacting with clients or customers - embodying human centeredness, building rapport easily and putting our patients at ease
- Ability to facilitate planning, scheduling and coordination processes and able to comfortably work within multiple systems / eager to learn new technology and workflows
- For the safety of our patients and staff, employees in this role must be fully vaccinated, including a booster, with an FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccination.
Contracted rate: $23/hour
