Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer 2 to join our growing Data and Analytics team as we revolutionize data at Funko. As a Data Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable data solutions, including data ingestion pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and develop data architecture to support business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and programming, with a passion for continuous learning, collaborative solutioning, and building data products that drive business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data pipelines to move data across systems from various sources
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and consistency
  • Build and optimize data models and schema designs for performance and scalability
  • Implement data governance and security principles
  • Collaborate with analysts to understand data requirements and provide scalable solutions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the data infrastructure
  • Mentor junior members of the team and promote best practices in data engineering
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
  • Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and schema design
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala; Python preferred
  • Extensive experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) databases
  • Experience with Snowflake (e.g., Snowflake Data Warehouse, Snowpipe, Snowflake Streams, Tasks)
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services
  • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Fivetran, Luigi)
  • Experience partnering with data analytics teams to develop data models
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $120,000-145,000 annually.​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Work Environment 
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
This position is based in Everett, WA and is a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite.
