CO Salary Range: USD 90,000.00 - 130,000.00 per year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Deeply understand the customer and our integrated partners. Serve as an advocate for the customer when making product decisions and ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Regularly engage with our champion customers to identify value-added features that will drive adoption and engagement.
- Translate the product vision into clearly articulated end-to-end use cases and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, minimizing the need for engineering input, utilizing AI tools to accelerate requirements gathering and user story creation.
- Collaborate closely with the design team, defining user experiences and writing detailed design stories to guide the creation of user-friendly interfaces. Review and approve design deliverables, ensuring they align with the product vision.
- Inspire a healthy culture of accountability throughout sprint cycles by guiding developers, designers and QA engineers through the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and maximizing velocity by ensuring excellence from all team members.
- Plan and prioritize work within the team to balance focus between strategic enhancements, tickets, bugs, tech debt, and security concerns, ensuring each sprint meets set targets for these areas.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other product owners to align efforts across the product suite, ensuring cohesive product development, timely delivery, and accountability in executing the product roadmap.
- Keep the backlog refined and ready well ahead of the development team, aligning development with the roadmap, and leveraging AI to improve efficiency in delivering features on time.
- Move with urgency and accuracy, juggling multiple initiatives while ensuring no critical details are overlooked. Identify areas for improvement and drive changes to optimize efficiency, stay flexible and iterate as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior product owners and business analysts, helping them refine their skills in backlog management, story writing, and agile methodologies to ensure they can contribute effectively to the team's success.
- Drive organizational visibility into product development progress and completion. Ensure continuous communication of product development progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage key SaaS metrics such as DAU/MAU ratios, feature adoption, customer retention, churn rates, and NPS to drive product development decisions.
- Drive adoption by creating intuitive onboarding experiences using tools such as AppCues to guide users through newly released features and track feature-specific activity.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience working in a SaaS product ownership or software development environment.
- Extensive experience working with agile teams, leading sprint cycles, backlog management, and user story definition.
- Experience building products leveraging APIs, Webservices, and direct DB connections.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including managing and prioritizing product backlogs, tracking burndown charts/dashboards and planning work across iterations.
- Proven track record of leveraging AI tools to enhance process efficiency and streamline story writing and team rituals.
- Familiarity with AppCues, PowerBI, and SQL to guide feature adoption and track user activity.
- Proficiency with data science tools preferred (such as Python and R) to drive data analysis and enhance decision-making.
- Strong background in SaaS analytics, including DAU/MAU ratios and unit economics, to evaluate product performance and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with software development processes, with a strong understanding of back-end (.NET) and front-end (Angular, React, Ruby) technologies.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently to find creative solutions with a solid understanding of software and technology.
- Ability to prioritize demands and lead by example in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.
$90,000 - $130,000 a year
This position will work full-time from FRONTSTEPS' Denver Headquarters and pays an annual salary of $90,000 - $130,000. Travel may be required up to 15%.
This position will remain open through November 15th, 2024.
