At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Position Overview:

The Stress Test Professional will be responsible for supporting the team in consolidation of financial segment results; managing end to end DFAST process; and ad hoc analytical, project management, and process improvement projects. Key duties include financial analysis, preparation of presentations, process management, and preparation of Freddie Mac's yearly DFAST submission to FHFA.

Our Impact:

  • Develop financial presentations to explain the stress test financial results to senior management, the Board of Directors and the regulator including sensitivity analysis on the financial results
  • Develop and maintain financial Stress Test documentation reporting through Workiva including stress testing financial results, assumptions and limitations/weakness
  • Execute stress testing as part of a well-controlled repeatable financial process in accordance with developed governance

Your Impact:

The annual DFAST process and supporting analysis is crucial to Freddie Mac and FHFA's understanding of potential risks and the financial impact of a potential economic downturn. This role will help drive the stress testing process to enhance senior management, the Board of Directors and the regulator's understanding of the financial results under the various economic and market conditions.

As a member of the Stress Testing team you will:

  • Develop subject matter knowledge regarding GSE business units, financial forecasting/stress testing, risk management, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with fellow team members and other participants within the Stress Testing process to produce management and regulator-required stress test results
  • Analyze / explain results in partnership with CFO business reporting leads
  • Review trending and sensitivity analysis
  • Create presentations for senior management, Board of Director and regulator
  • Own documentation reporting tool (Workiva) including reporting templates and management documentation of methodologies and execution (MED)
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of the results

Qualifications:

  • Required: 2 years minimum experience in a finance, accounting, or forecasting role.
  • Required: Four-year college degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
  • Required: High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Preferred: 2 years of related professional experience in mortgage finance, a GSE business unit, financial stress testing, financial services investment banking, financial services management consulting, or regulatory/examinations work.
  • Preferred: Previous experience or strong willingness to learn the following skills:

    • Hyperion/Mercury+ (Internal Freddie Mac risk and forecasting tool)
    • WDesk
    • Data visualization tools such as Tableau
    • Project/Process Management

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $83,000 - $125,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
