Your Impact:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing mortgage fraud investigations to effectively manage Fraud and AML risks. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform fraud tip research to identify suspicious activity.
  • Perform end-to-end fraud investigations, including mortgage loan file reviews, interviews, work with third parties, etc. and document findings and conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Maintain cycle times for completing investigations.
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) for investigations and file timely in accordance with FinCEN requirements.
  • Design fraud analytics using mortgage loan data to identify patterns and trend; analyze mortgage loan portfolio, emerging trends, and business practices for possible fraud scenarios.
  • Execute internal controls related to fraud investigations.
  • Provide complete and accurate investigation data for fraud reporting.

Qualifications:

  • AML/Fraud related certification preferred.
  • Typically has 5+ years' experience in conducting fraud investigations; mortgage fraud experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in FinCEN reporting requirements.
  • Must have experience with state of art industry practices for preventive fraud mitigation, implementation of strategies and solutioning for technological challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform research and analysis beyond on-field investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the capability of managing multiple priorities and efficient in proposing solutions.
  • Ability to travel for fieldwork as needed (minimal).

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $83,000 - $125,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
