Position Overview:

As a Manager in the Multifamily (MF) operational risk function within the Technology & Operational Risk department, you will be responsible for the first line of defense operational risk which is constantly evolving Multifamily's approach to risk management.

The Manager will lead a diverse team and enhance and improve an integrated approach for operational risk frameworks and processes around supplier risk management based on corporate policies and standards and, where applicable, industry risk frameworks. Our Impact:

Engage and collaborate with the process owners to understand their process areas and provide guidance on managing operational risk, specifically vendor management.

Your Impact:

  • Lead the execution of MF's Supplier Risk Management Program, including managing team assignments and reviewing team's deliverables.
  • Perform supplier risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead the preparation of divisional reports related to supplier risk management.
  • Support issue management throughout the issue life cycle (issue identification through closure) for issues related to supplier risk management program.
  • Identify, analyze, and document/report operational events related to supplier risk.
  • Ensure compliance with related operational risk frameworks/programs; establish linkages with process and risk and control taxonomies.
  • Develop and maintain key risk indicators for supplier risk.
  • Enhance current process for developing, approving, and maintaining policies, standards and directives across the MF Division (First Line of Defense)
  • Engage and partner within MF division, other 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line to provide guidance, answer queries, obtain solutions and resolve any concerns related to MF Supplier Risk Management program.
  • Participate and represent MF Supplier Risk Management team in various meetings and forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of overall relevant experience, including 4+ years of operational risk management and/or audit experience
  • Sound analytical, collaboration and communication skills
  • Proven risk literacy - the ability to describe use cases and outcomes, risk sources and management concepts across business and technology domains
  • Consistent track record of effective leadership; build teams and consensus
  • A familiarity and understanding of the MF space and the key topics impacting MF is preferred but not required

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $124,000 - $186,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
