Our Impact:

Our team helps manage the work of data scientists and researchers who use powerful, machine-learning methods to build the models that guide critical functions such as funding loans, valuation, and predicting default and loss severity. The models implemented in Single-Family Modeling are the 'heartbeat' of Freddie Mac. This role will support the Single-Family Modeling department to maximize the use of models to achieve Freddie Mac's mission and objectives of equitable and sustainable homeownership.

Your Impact:

  • Guide and support leadership & teams through initiatives using appropriate project management tools and techniques to ensure delivery of business value.
  • Collaborate with all partners, including researchers, model owners, developers, business owners, data analysts, and more.
  • Facilitate deliverables, such as key project and change management documents (e.g., project plans, updates, communication plans) and reporting.
  • Foresee, identify, and resolve impediments to project completion, implementation, and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Drive adoption and enhance efficiencies of business processes, systems, and technology across the department and division.
  • Execute and seek ways to enhance compliance with model risk policies, and governance standards, procedures, and risk & controls processes.
  • Summarize and present concise executive-level summaries, management-level reports, and performance metrics.
  • Be a trusted leader and serve as a respected change agent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 8+ years of overall relevant experience.
  • Master's degree is helpful, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in model governance and / or operational risk management, ideally including regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of project management (e.g., Project Management Professional), agile principles and practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proficiency in change management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Prosci® Change Management).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can present a compelling case and build support for ideas and resources.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills with ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and workflow automation and reporting platforms is helpful.
  • Experience with the use of GenAI assistants to drive efficiency and effectiveness is also valuable.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $124,000 - $186,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
