The Treasury Governance team within the Investments & Capital Markets Division governs and provides risk management over the end-to-end payment process at Freddie Mac! Our team is a high performing team that combines both business knowledge and technology expertise to provide valuable risk management and advisory services to the end-to-end payment process owners at Freddie Mac. Our Impact:

  • Set the Corporate Policy that include business and technology requirements that governs the end-to-end payment process
  • Collaborate with IT team members and relevant process owners to understand and manage payment risks and controls associated with the end-to-end payment process.
  • Provide transparency of risk exposures through implementing sound reporting for risk-based decision-making

Your Impact:

  • Implement a centralized comprehensive governance program over the company's cash payment activities focusing on handling IT risks related to payment systems
  • With a focus on IT risk, support the maintenance of Payment Risk Management Framework, Risk Assessment approach and Risk Appetite and metrics that conforms with internal and industry leading practices, standards, and specifications
  • Oversee Divisions' implementation of Payment-related IT control requirements
  • Support periodic corporate aggregation assessments of significant IT issues and related unmitigated payment risks across the company
  • Support periodic assessments of the end-to-end design of processes and supporting controls for payment processes and perform risk and control assessments on a periodic basis with IT partners and relevant payment process owners as outlined in Corporate Risk Assessment Standard
  • Support periodic reporting of the aggregated payment fraud risks, KRIs, KPIs, and KCIs for the end-to-end payment management reporting
  • Review significant changes that impact payment processes or systems to determine that the risk and controls have been adequately assessed from an end-to-end view
  • Support other assigned governance and advisory activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of operational risk/process management and/or control testing/audit experience
  • Familiarity with the COSO internal control framework and risk management industry best practices
  • Solid proficiency of using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Visio)
  • Knowledge of payment fraud, third party, information/cyber and technology risk and control (architecture, identity and access management, software/hardware security, etc.) capabilities desired
  • Knowledge of mortgage or financial services industry and payment processes desired
  • Previous Big Four experience and/or relevant professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, Security+, CISM, CPA, CIA, etc.) a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $94,000 - $142,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
