The Freddie Mac Legal Division's Legal Operations Department is seeking a Business Management Professional to join its Business Management Team. This position will have day-to-day responsibility for the Division's resource management and organizational performance portfolios, including budget and financial management, human resources tracking and reporting, business intelligence data analysis and reporting, as well as organizational performance measurements tracking and reporting. The Legal Division provides proactive, timely and efficient legal advice adaptable to client needs on all legal matters affecting Freddie Mac. We are looking for a new team member to join Legal Operations to support the Division's financial management, reporting, and data analytics functions.
Your Impact:
Financial Planning and Budget Execution
- Partner with the enterprise Finance team to facilitate the annual budget planning process.
- Conduct regular and ad hoc budget performance reporting and analysis.
- Perform reconciliation activities for accounts across the Division.
- Monitor and track spending throughout the year across all Division accounts to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison to departments across the Division to understand resource needs, the drivers of those needs, and projected spending throughout the year, including on outside counsel and other high dollar value line items.
- Track, process, and pay invoices.
Human Resources Tracking and Reporting
- Partner with enterprise Human Resources to track and report on hiring and departure activity across the Division.
- Monitor hiring activity against budget performance to ensure availability of resources.
- Conduct workforce demographic and headcount reporting and analysis.
Organizational Performance Management and Reporting
- Analyze organizational performance data and metrics, identify trends, provide insights, and develop reporting.
- Use existing systems and reporting to develop a business intelligence framework that informs executive decision-making.
- Develop expertise in diverse sets of data and their inter-connectivity to deliver business insights, find opportunities, and tackle problems.
- Build intuitive and impactful reports, presentations, and data visualizations that monitor and compare key performance indicators.
Outside Counsel Management
- Serves as a backup for the outside counsel management and e-billing portfolios.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience working in a financial planning or budget execution portfolio preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with performance measurements, key performance indicators, or business intelligence within a legal environment preferred, but not required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including capturing and recording data sets, developing pivot tables, using shortcuts and formulas, as well as building charts and graphs.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization.
- Experience synthesizing complex information into clear and understandable formats for presentation to an executive audience.
- Strategic mentality paired with strong problem solving, critical thinking, professional judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
