Position Overview:

The Enterprise, Operations and Technology (EO&T) RM team provides risk management services within the EO&T division at Freddie Mac. The IT Risk Senior will focus on driving the closure of operational and IT related issues by ensuring remediation activities and supporting evidence adequately meet remediation expectations, performing risk and controls self-assessments (RCSAs) for select EO&T business processes, identifying process improvement opportunities and providing risk advisory support for EO&T.

Our Impact:

  • Partner with key business and risk management subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand and manage risks and controls associated with IT operational processes, serving as a liaison for 1LOD.
  • Perform gap assessments, risk assessments on risks and controls, and advise on effective remediation, driving issues to closure and enhancing the organization's risk posture.

Your Impact:

Project Execution

  • Assess the quality, completeness, accuracy and sustainability of issue remediation and supporting evidence.
  • Perform assessments of business process risks and controls, ensuring risks are adequately identified, measured and mitigated to acceptable levels.
  • Assist the team in identifying and driving process improvements for enhanced team efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Testing

  • Perform Quality Assessment (QA) and validation of evidence stemming from technical or operational process remediation.
  • Support controls testing activities related to technical or operational issue remediation.

Knowledge Management

  • Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing research and review of industry publications.
  • Stay abreast of current industry relevant standards to find opportunities to improve Operational and IT Risk Management practices.
  • Contribute to team growth by leading team trainings and knowledge shares as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Information Systems/Security Risk Management related field or equivalent, and 5+ years of overall relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data risk management, operational resiliency/risk management and/or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) industry best practices, inclusive of executing risk and controls self-assessments, is highly desired
  • Implementation or compliance review experience of industry standards to include COBIT, NIST, ISO, or ITIL
  • Preferred Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISM , or CISSP
  • Experience working in Agile / fast paced environment is helpful

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $108,000 - $162,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
