Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Internal Audit (IA) Division is seeking an IT Audit Director experienced in performing assessments of the processes and systems of internal control within Technology (applications, technology operations, infrastructure, cyber security etc.) and partnering with our customers to perform integrated audits across our businesses.

This position reports to the Vice President of Information Systems Audit and supports in the overall management of the function.

Your Impact:

  • Assist in the development, management, and execution of the audit plan
  • Supervise and support IT Audit managers in the execution of audits including the review of work-papers to ensure they meet departmental standards, and ongoing feedback during all stages of the audits
  • Experienced in the documentation, reporting and presentation to senior management and operating committees
  • Work with the data analytics team within internal audit to use data analysis across audit execution and ongoing monitoring
  • Evaluate and assess opportunities for internal control improvements, and work closely with the 1st and 2nd lines of defense
  • Manage a team of IT audit and technical authority professionals by supervising and supporting the team through guidance, coaching and mentoring
  • Support the development and growth of members of your team through effective people leadership skills
  • Planning, budgeting, and implementing strategic objectives
  • Nurture the overall team spirit of the technology audit function
  • Promote the development of positive relationship with technology leaders, and develop an understanding of the application/systems which support our business and the areas of focus as we continue to evolve our environment
  • Advise on internal controls and governance, during audits and conduct proactive and ongoing discussions with business leaders
  • Promote and focus on the improvement of data analytics, agile methods of audit execution and identifying process efficiencies in our ways of working
  • Support the initiatives to improve overall operations

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years in technology audit or related IT risk fields or proven experience
  • 4+ years in leadership or as a people manager
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Management of Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, etc.) or equivalent experience; advanced degree/studies preferred
  • Shown understanding of technology risk frameworks (such as NIST, ISO, COBIT etc.)
  • Proven understanding of risk frameworks, risks, and execution of risk management processes and governance
  • Experience with modern development methodologies, continuous development / integration, and embedded controls automation
  • Experience with AWS cloud environments and related security controls
  • CISA certification required. (Additionally: CRISC, CISM, CISSP is desirable)
  • Experience adopting data analytics in audit, creating automation, and implementing continuous auditing and/or monitoring desirable

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $199,000 - $299,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
