The Investment and Capital Markets (I&CM) Collateral Management Team is responsible for all margin activity related to Investments and Capital Markets at Freddie Mac. We deliver and receive Cash and Securities Collateral daily and work together as a tight-knit team that always works together to complete our daily functions.

Your Impact:

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting essential business processes
  • Completing daily margin calls and same day collateral settlements with assigned Counterparties across multiple products
  • Completing daily portfolio reconciliations
  • Supporting securities collateral activities
  • Preparing daily and monthly reporting on collateral activity
  • Identifying and resolving process exceptions and data discrepancies
  • Interfacing with and communicating to external Brokers and Dealers and other internal business areas
  • Identifying potential settlement discrepancies and negotiating quick resolutions without adverse impact to Freddie Mac
  • Recommending process improvements and systems enhancements
  • Serving as an operational liaison for trading staff, counterparties, brokers, clearing agents, other Freddie Mac business areas and internal/external auditors
  • Maintaining process and other required documentation
  • Supporting new product and system enhancement initiatives within the department

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years related experience in capital market operations or finance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Strong ability to balance baseline activities and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, teammate with good people skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously under pressure situations with sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trading personnel, technology staff, accounting, audit, and legal

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $71,000 - $107,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
