Conducts audit reviews of the organization's financial and operational processes to ensure compliance and standard methodologies. Responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of business / operational risk management, control and governance practices, with recommendations and resolutions for improvement. Provides detailed feedback/communication to business unit management. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.

Your Impact:
The Internal Audit Professional will implement end-to-end audits on credit, operational, and strategic risks. These span over multiple areas while reviewing and testing Freddie Mac's core business processes and delivering audits directed on related controls. Using the Three Lines model, they will work closely with risk partners and practitioners in all lines of the business.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years working experience in risk-based auditing, accounting, risk management, management consulting, or financial data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, management information systems, economics, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant or candidate (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor or candidate (CIA) desirable, but not required.
- Financial services or public accounting industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually.
- Critical thinker with ability to understand sophisticated processes and willingness to ask tough questions.
- Creative and analytical approach in a problem-solving environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication and people skills.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $68,000 - $102,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
