Information Security Senior Manager (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office)

Position Overview:

Freddie Mac is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to play a pivotal role in working across the Information Security department to improving security maturity by ensuring quality of design and implementation of SOPs and Controls, and supporting the implementation of automated guardrails.

Your Impact:

The Information Security Senior Manager will establish a control and SOP compliance process for the Information Security department and will establish a process and guide a small team to work with the key and non-key control and SOP owners to ensure the documentation is accurate and adequately self-tested. This role also provides governance and oversight for the creation and implementation of security guardrails in Freddie Mac's software delivery platform. The role will partner with both the security teams and the application delivery teams to determine the right guardrails and solutions for information security compliance within the methodology, and will perform oversight to ensure consistent and timely deployment.

You will also establish a process for maturing the overall Information Security processes across Freddie Mac using the NIST CSF framework. You will maintain a roadmap of initiatives to be completed to progress in NIST CSF maturity, work across Freddie Mac to prioritize roadmap items and facilitate any future 3rd party maturity assessments.

Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years' experience in cybersecurity or cyber risk management, with a focus on highly-regulated industries, such as finance, healthcare, or federal government
  • 2 or more years demonstrated experience as a people manager
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience participating in discussions with senior leadership to understand the vision and strategic goals being supported by the team
  • Strong experience in IT governance, risk and controls, including governance and risk frameworks, such as COBIT, FFIEC, ISO2700x, and NIST
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $166,000 - $250,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
