Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Finance division is currently seeking a Financial Accounting & Analysis Professional to be part of the Single-family CFO department. The Single-family CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting for Freddie Mac's Single-family segment. The hired individual will be part of the Credit Risk Accounting & Reporting team and contribute to the accounting and financial reporting for Single-family. Home to more at #FreddieMac!

Our Impact:

The Credit Risk Accounting & Reporting team serves as a supporting role for the company. We handle the accounting functions for Credit Risk Transfer, perform account reconciliations and prepare numerous Credit Risk Transfer & Credit Loss reports/analytics for FHFA, 10Q/K disclosures, and internal reporting packages that are distributed across the company.

Your Impact:

As a member of Single-family Credit Risk Accounting & Reporting team, you will

  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Prepare various supporting schedules for the Credit Results package
  • Implement Rapid SQL queries, SAS codes, and /or MicroStrategy reports
  • Prepare quarterly regulatory reports for FHFA, disclosures for 10Q/K, and table for inclusion in annual SASB ESG disclosure
  • Execute controls and maintain supporting documents
  • Collaborate with other departments within the company

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 consecutive years working experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred: Proficiency in at least one of the following: MicroStrategy, Rapid SQL, SAS, PeopleSoft, and Workday
  • Experience with regulatory reporting/10Q/K disclosures preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines is required
  • Critical thinker with ability to understand processes

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
